What We Do and Why
We do not breed Goldens for a living. Plain and simple, we have puppy litters to keep our family lines going. We work closely with our breeder to create the best chance of helping our Golden’s enjoy a healthy, happy, and long life, for them, for our family, and your family too.
We had our first Golden Retriever almost 30 years ago. She had the best demeanor around adults, small children, and other animals. She made believers out of us that Goldens were (in our eyes) the best breed of dog and that is all we wanted. After her we decided to get another. We purchased a Golden Cream, named Lana. She was most amazing but we noticed that the older she got the more ailments she had. We found out that Lana was inbred which was causing her to get more and more ill. Due to her illness we had to put Lana down at a very young age. We were heartbroken, and to top it all off, we had a horrible experience with that breeder. We looked for a reputable breeder and found Heaven Scent Golden Retrievers, or should we say they found us.
We purchased our next Golden, Nyah with the intent on having breeding rights to have puppies in the future to keep the lines alive. Nyah was everything you would want in a Golden. Dawn, from Heaven Scent helped us have our first litter with Nyah, helped us with AKC litter registrations, and continued health check-ups for our dogs, giving our animals the best opportunity for a happy and healthy life. So, basically we have litters on occasion to keep our lines alive and flourishing. We care about our puppies so much because we are having them for our families, and we want to share them with your family too. Kyah, who is Nyah’s daughter from our 2019 litter, will be having puppies soon. We hope you check us out.
